Greater glider habitat southern Queensland

SEQFA
Part A Areas

The areas outlined in blue were defined as Part A Areas under the SEQFA (See SEQ Forests Agreement page.). These areas were to be logged only as a last resort and if they were to be logged, it would be under standard logging rules.

Despite the SEQFA requirement, and despite the presence of habitat for the endangered Greater Glider, the areas have been recently logged or are currently being logged under the intensive 40 cm+ logging regime.

Note: As a result of pressure from local groups, West Cooroy State Forest will not be logged.
