Help save the Greater Glider from logging in Queensland’s State Forests

You can help stop logging in the habitat of the endangered Greater Glider by —

  • asking friends and contacts to visit this site at savegreatergliders.org.au, and
  • emailing Premier Steven Miles at premier@ministerial.qld.gov.au
  • emailing Hon Mark Furner at agriculture@ministerial.qld.gov.au
  • emailing Hon Leanne Linard at environment@ministerial.qld.gov.au
  • emailing your local member if you are in a Labor electorate.

In your email, you can make the following points:

  • Why is the Queensland Government allowing intensive 40 cm+ logging in known habitat of the endangered Greater Glider in our State Forests when there is scientific evidence that it has a major impact?

  • Why are you allowing major impacts to Greater Glider habitat when the Nature Conservation (Animals) Regulation 2020 requires you “to protect the critical habitat or the areas of major interest” of endangered species?

The Minster for the Environment, Hon Leanne Linard, is responsible for the overall management of State Forests and administering the Code of Practice for native forest logging.
