Data for this map were provided by Queensland Herbarium (now Queensland Herbarium and Biodiversity Science). Scientists at the Herbarium, with input from other experts, mapped greater glider habitat in Queensland. The results were published in 2022 in the reference below together with recommendations for greater glider conservation.

It is clear from the map that State Forests in southern Queensland, where intensive 40 cm+ logging is occurring, contain a very significant proportion of habitat for the endangered Greater Glider.
